Our purpose is to provide solutions to your PC-related problems or needs: simply, efficiently and effectively, and at a price that is both reasonable and cost-effective. Firstly you'll get a free diagnosis and assessment of your problem, either by phone or on-site, and an estimate of what it's likely to cost.

We will try to solve the problem in your own home, at a time convenient to you (including evenings and weekends if necessary), but for major tasks, it may be necessary to bring your computer to our workshop in Piddington. Our basic rate is J60 per hour, but if a job is likely to take more than one hour, we'll turn it into a fixed-price project so that you'll know exactly what it's going to cost, even if it takes us longer to complete!
Services
That's some 40 years ago, and I have been involved with computers directly and indirectly ever since. Having started with mainframe computers, I was an early adopter of personal computers, and owned one of the first micro computers: a Sinclair ZX80. In the early 80s I graduated to the then original IBM PC, and have specialised in its successors ever since.
This section details the major services we provide which address the main problems most users are likely to experience. We're very experienced at diagnosing even the most obscure problems, and have access to extensive resources and testing equipment. What's more, diagnosing a problem won't normally cost you anything!
There's no charge for carrying-out a diagnosis and assessment of your problems or needs. Sometimes this can be carried out successfully by phone but more often it is necessary to visit you in your home to look at things in person, on-site. Once the situation has been assessed it will either be a case of an on-site repair (see below), or a fixed price for a major job that will need to be undertaken at our workshop.
Simply by being on the internet and/or receiving emails, your computer is vulnerable to viruses and spyware. Even with the best belt-and-braces protection, some spyware is likely to be downloaded. We would be able to diagnose the seriousness of the problem during our (free) On-Site Diagnosis visit, and in your presence we will demonstrate the symptoms in detail and thus form a judgement.
The infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can indicate a range of issues, from the minor to the catastrophic! The latter could include a hard disk which is on the brink of complete failure, so you should never ignore this type of crash. Turn off the computer and unplug it from the mains, then call us.
