Welcome to the website of William Cook, a name long established in the world of fine antiques. Opened in 1963 by my father, we were initially restorers of fine antique furniture undertaking work for clients including The Royal Family, museums, collectors, dealers and private individuals from across the globe. Following several years' experience working with one of the country's leading antique dealers and Christies of London in 1991 I established William Cook, the independent antique dealing side of the family business.
Services
Located in the historic Berkshire market town of Hungerford, our shop is open from Monday to Saturday. Hungerford is just over an hour's drive from West London and there is a train station in the town. This busy shop is the hub of our business operation with the stock constantly changing as we are always searching for and buying new and interesting pieces.
Each year we exhibit at a number of antique shows both in England and America as we believe that there is nothing better than standing in front of you own stock and presenting it in person. We are known for our distinctive presentation of furniture, objects and works of art dating from the late 17th to mid-20th centuries which makes for an interesting and varied mix.
