These devices typically sit outside next to your home. Essentially ASHP uses the same technology as a fridge, only in reverse. Air Source Heat Pumps take the heat from the surrounding air via a fan, which gently heats a conducting liquid. This liquid is then compressed to raise the temperature to a useful level.

The pump on our heating and hot water system failed completely but a call in the morning to AHS resulted in outstandingly good and helpful service. By 5.00pm the friendly engineer had fixed the problem and serviced the boiler. The result? - the customer and a house full of guests were extremely pleased and grateful!! Could not have asked for better service!

AHS were asked to install a new vented hot water cylinder (running off my very old solid fuel Aga) as the old cylinder had fractured. 2 engineers arrived and I was advised that I could do much better with a pressurised cylinder which would be heated on Economy 7 overnight...and to disconnect the water from the Aga.
I am delighted to say that it has worked beautifully. My water is heated for 2 hours overnight, the hot water flows at a much greater rate, particularly on the 2nd floor in the loft which used to take hours to fill a bath and there are no noisy shower pumps, no cold water /header tanks

We had a major leak at the weekend, from the heating system that ran through two floors and through the dining room ceiling.
AHS were quick to respond, finding the source of the leak and isolated the running water, thankfully still leaving us with water. The engineers returned on the Monday with the correct fittings and repaired the leak, causing minimal damage.
I would recommend using AHS without a shadow of doubt, both engineers that attended my property were polite and knowledgeable and any worries I had were addressed.

Recently had the misfortune to have a water-leak from my heating system. We had water dripping from the dining room ceiling, while not. A deluge it was enough to fill a two-litre bowl in the space of a few mins.
Called the insurance company who organised for a plumber to come out. This took more than the 24h promised. The plumber cut some holes in the ceiling and to see what was happening. Unfortunately, he could not find the fault. After approximately two hours. He gave up and explained that because we did not have track and trace cover, he could not find the fault to repair.

As a so called ‘valued customer’ of many years, I was charged £258.00 for 2 call outs to relight our Aga after is going out after a routine service whilst I had to wait for spare parts to arrive. The Aga was working before the service. I was not told that I would be charged for these call outs. I could not manage without the Aga as I am carer for my very elderly in-laws who are 90 and 98 years of age. We have no other form of cooking facilities. I had already paid 2 invoices totalling £563.40 for service and replacement parts.
I will not be using them again.
