Lea Phillips makes a wide range of colourful individually decorated, wheel thrown ceramics at her studio in Totnes, Devon. The pottery range includes tableware, lamp bases and one-off pieces, in durable high fired stoneware, available direct from the studio or by mail order. All the ceramics are hand made on the premises so visitors can see work in all stages of production. We will continue our creative work once we are settled in the new location and hoping to be open to the public in Weymouth. As always pottery and mixed media work will be available online. Services
My work has always been based on throwing, which I enjoy for its immediacy and rhythmic processes. I like forms that are strong and definite, simple shapes with harmonious relationships between their parts. Colour and pattern are long standing interests. With the decoration I aim to reflect something of the movement of the throwing process and explore and enhance the form.
These colourful greetings cards are based on close-ups of glazed surfaces, the designs are digitally altered to give new vibrant designs in four colourways. The inside of the cards are left blank for your own greetings, making them perfect for any occation. Also available as Giclee prints. The cards are 3 each plus postage, or set of 4 for 10 plus postage.
