It's a commonly known fact that heat rises. For instance, in a home with no loft insulation, as much as 25% of your heat is lost through the roof. That's a considerable amount of money to be floating away. Insulating your loft, attic, or flat roof is a simple and effective way to keep that heat inside your home, whilst also reducing your heating bills.
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) can be a great renewable energy solution for most homes, especially 'off gas' properties. ASHP's act with a similar concept to an air conditioning unit, but in reverse. They harvest the heat in air from the outside of your home, which is then compressed to increase the temperature and transferred into the heating and hot water systems in your home.

Relying on their advice I paid extra for the floorboards to be removed. The insulation was laid down fine, but only later did they inform me that if I wanted to re-instal the floorboards, I would have to raise the floor level, which would mean a step into the room and re-fitting the door. I complained about this, but the only reply was "there
