Services
Chances are, if the idea of a pristine, smooth, level wooden floor appeals, we're the people to speak to. Arbor Flooring give honest and open advice about the options available so that you can make an informed decision as to which flooring solution is right for your home. You might only see the top millimetre of a new floor, but what's underneath is important, so your choice should be made armed with a little knowledge.
Floor sanding involves removing the top surfaces of a wooden floor by sanding with abrasive materials, usually sand-paper. At Arbor Flooring, we have the latest dust-free floor sanders capable of restoring your existing wood floors back to their pristine best.
Generally, most new floors are now supplied pre-finished, but the more traditional types of installation of solid plank flooring, parquet flooring and existing floorboards, still require sanding post installation.Even with ongoing maintenance, a wooden floor will tire and at some stage it will usually require revitalising by floor sanding to remove previous coverings and bring the floor back to life.

If you are fortunate enough to have existing wood flooring, you will find our services particularly useful. Wooden floor restoration is the process and journey by which old floors are returned to their former glory. With older properties, particularly Victorian terraced houses, over the years there will usually have been much internal alteration, resulting in less than perfect flooring.
When it comes to parquet flooring restoration, we regularly receive calls from home owners who have, for one reason or another, decided to have a look under their existing carpets. Occasionally they may find a parquet floor which they were previously unaware of. Invariably the floor will have been covered up for a number of years prior to the era of double glazing and efficient heating systems.
This basically boils down to whether you are more precious about your walls or your floors. Ideally for us, we would suggest completing any sanding process prior to a room being decorated as inevitably the floor sanders will leave the odd mark on the skirting board. Generally speaking, no matter how large the job, any floor sanding task will take a minimum of a day's work.

Initial company I used to sand and varnish wood floor in hallway left chatter marks, scarring due to sanding across the grain which is a no-no They also didn't sand the floor enough times to take out the deeper original staining.
Arbor Flooring to the rescue! In 2 days Arbor Flooring rectified all the aforementioned problems and the end result is a stunning wooden floor which I thought was damaged beyond repair. Cannot fault their knowledge and professionalism 10/10.
