The practice principal, Iain Miller, is a chartered architect who graduated in 1980 from the highly regarded Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow (run jointly by Glasgow University and Glasgow School of Art). Apart from 2 years working in Hong Kong, he has spent all of his career working in London and the South East of England.
Fees are negotiated in accordance with industry norms and tailored to the specific requirements of a project in terms of size, complexity, building type and whether the works are new-build or refurbishment/extension. The range of fee options includes a percentage of the construction cost, a lump sum and time charges.
Whether it be an urban residential scheme or a single family house or house extension we are committed to using vision and ideas to design beautiful homes that reflect our clients' aspirations. We work closely with the client to understand what they are seeking to achieve, their timescale and budget.
Commercial architecture is the design of buildings for commercial clients - often for business or mixed use. By definition it covers a vast array of building types and design tasks from strategic planning through to interior design. Common to all is the importance of the clients business objectives and aspirations and the need for us to be responsive and flexible.
Masterplanning is fundamentally about vision and the delivery of change through the creation of new places. Every masterplan is a new challenge requiring imagination and the creative input of not just the designer but the client, communities and an array of specialists. The process typically commences with the brief, which is taken from the client and other stakeholders, to allow the goals to be established.
