Proprietors Dave and Mary Lawrence are proud to work with our caring staff to meet the needs of local families in the Buckie area. We were recently pleased to announce the opening of our new purpose built facility at 25 East Cathcart Street in Buckie.

In an arrangement with the Church of Christ, Joe Dawson Funeral Directors are able to offer a private chapel for those with no links back to a church or those who would just prefer a service away from the public gaze.Joe Dawson Funeral Directors Buckie - Looking after your loved one as if they were our own.
Services
Proprietors Dave and Mary Lawrence are proud to work with our caring staff to meet the needs of local families in the Buckie area. Joe Dawson Funeral Directors have a reputation as a truly independent business that sets us apart from larger more corporate businesses.

We are full members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and SAIF, as with many walks of life, changes in the industry are bringing more rules and regulation which can be hard for an independent funeral director to keep abreast with.Membership provides access to the latest legislation and information along with a strict code of practice to help compliance.
Based in Buckie which is located on the Moray Firth coast not far from Elgin, about 1/2 way between Inverness and Aberdeen, we predominately provide our Funeral Director and Undertaker services to the coastal villages of Portgordon, Findochty, Portknockie and Cullen extending inland through the rural communities of Deskford, Drybridge, Clochan and Tynet.
Our plans can be relied upon by providing you with a guarantee from the funeral director that they will deliver their services, no matter how far into the future on the terms agreed today ensuring that your arrangements are fully protected against any changes to the company or to general financial circumstances.
In an arrangement with the Church of Christ, Joe Dawson Funeral Directors are able to offer a private chapel for those with no links back to a church or those who would just prefer a service away from the public gaze.

Located not far from the town centre on West Church Street at the junction with North Pringle Street, the chapel has a bright modern look, an audio visual system and flexible seating which can be arranged to suit numbers up to 105 and an additional smaller hall at the rear to seat a further 40.The chapel is available for your own choice of minister or conductor and organist or we can arrange these as part of our normal arrangements.
The Competition and Markets Authority have passed law in 2021 that ensures that ALL undertakers publish a 'Standardised Price List' this is to allow the public to compare prices.

The prices we display are our actual prices and not something to get you through the door but you must be aware that these are prices for a normal service at the Crematorium and for a graveside service for burial, our traditional full service may include items not highlighted here. The only way to know for sure is to ask us, we prefer to discuss this face to face and are happy to do this with no commitment.

Faultless
Dave & Mary provide a fantastic service. From the start we were guided through everything perfectly. Obviously nobody wants to use the services of a funeral director, but I fail to see how anyone could get better.
Many Thanks
Pete & Anne-Marie

Joe arranged my Mother’s funeral in 2007 and was flawless. Caring, considerate and took a lot of time to speak with my father with regard to the plans. Absolutely faultless and caring at that difficult time for all of us.
