Our business was established in 2013 from a desire to put the humanity back into the commoditised coffee supply chain.

Services
Alex (known to most as 'Krag'!) founded the business in 2013 at the age of 22. He learnt to roast with some of the best and now heads up our Roastery operation overseeing production and managing our green coffee purchases with Hols. Krag has worked on consultancy projects for a host of roasteries across the UK and Europe and now holds a managerial role within the operational side of our business.
Naturally sweet, rounded coffees with great balance and body to enjoy both with and without milk. Specialty coffees display a vast array of inherent avours thanks to the unique environment nurturing the growth of the beans. We roast intuitively (to no more than a medium level) in a manner designed to showcase these inherent characteristics rather than to impart avours from the roasting process.
We offer two contrasting espresso options that are carefully prepared by our experienced team alongside a range of seasonal filter coffees prepared on our Marco SP9 filter brewers. Occasionally you will come across extra special micro lots that you won't find anywhere else and have the opportunity to taste different processed coffees side by side to learn more about how this affects the resulting flavour.
Our roastery is a beautiful 4000sqft brick building in Armley just 10 minutes from Leeds City Centre. We are committed to maximising the potential of the beautiful coffees we buy that have come to us from producers dedicated to quality. To do so, freshness is absolutely key. We roast week to week and buy seasonally, cupping production roasts throughout the season to keep sight of how our lots hold up over the course of the time they are with us.
We are easily accessible either by foot, bus, car or water taxi, and there is a multi-storey car park on site. Our coffee roastery is where we roast, pack and dispatch our coffees. The space is only open for local collections of orders, we do not have a coffee shop from our Armley space. This unit is staffed from Monday to Friday and visits or local online order pickups are strictly by appointment only.
