The Lowry Hotel is an iconic five star hotel in Manchester with a large sprinkling of the extraordinary. It delivers a tangible sense of something a bit different from the moment you step through our polished glass doors. We take our name from the famous Salford artist, L.S Lowry, so it's no surprise to discover that art runs through the very fabric of our hotel.
Then to the lift, ping, 165 bedrooms and 12 stunning suites including the slightly outrageous Presidential Suite. Eyes back in the building, past the Spa, stop here for pampering. Leave transformed. Wedding venues for romance, meeting spaces for the serious stuff. Then to the restaurant and bar areas, vast with daylight dancing its way in through every glass panel.
A trip to the bathroom and suddenly you find yourself distracted by a painting in the corridor. Our bar area showcases some fine pieces by Comme Ca Art which are changed every six weeks. Other works around the hotel include a striking hanging installation by David Begbie, art by Kevin Cummins and our six Riverside Suites are furnished with original artworks by the internationally acclaimed Oldham-born artist Alan Rankle.
Prepare for any and every occasion in one of our indulgent Executive King Rooms. These large spaces have all you need to be able to prepare before a big night out or event. Or a place to chill out after a long working day. Equipped with a super king-sized bed to sink into after a long day, a table perfect to sit and watch the city go by as you enjoy a room service breakfast.
Every visit to The Lowry Hotel is a special occasion, but with our specially curated Celebrations Inspired packages create the most amazing backdrop to your event. Whether planning a proposal, celebrating a birthday or anniversary or simply just wanting to make your stay more special we have something to suit everyone.

I booked a stay for just one night without breakfast which it stated total of £185. They charged me additional £26 upon checkout when I asked the lady what it was for she claimed it is for parking.
Now I come to check my statement which shows they’ve taken an initial £209 plus £26. Clearly rip off.
The hotel has nothing but a big room and easy access for parking right opposite food options were terrible the pictures on display here by the hotel are falsely advertised because they do not sell any of that. The main restaurant was closed at 7pm. Spa access closed. Gym was small full of people

An okay hotel in the centre.
Went to a friends wedding.
The establishment was clean and well maintained throughout.
The food we were served was to a good quality.
The staff are hit and miss. 50% were amazing and 50% weren’t interested.
The drinks are expensive and you don’t get anything special for the cost.
It’s situated in a great location, just a stone throw from Manchester City Centre.

Had afternoon tea and loved it. there was a nice selection of cakes and savoury items. the cakes were very colourful with a variety of taste. both tea and coffee was on offer with loads of options. our host denilson was a gent and looked after us and specially my mother in law. he made sure we had everything we needed. he brought my MIL a nice little drink as a special gift. he brought us extra items when we requested and just made us all feel very welcome and very special. would go back because all the staff at the lowry were very good to us.

Such a disappointment. I don't know how much the room cost as we were being entertained.
We had high hopes for The Lowry, 5 star hotel were football stars & celebrities stay, but unfortunately hopes were dashed as soon as we arrived.
Pulled up at the front of the hotel and the door men just looked at us, carried our own bags up the stairs and was met by an undertrained member of the reception team who had no clue about customer service.
Went to our 5 star room and immediately noticed the stained carpet, chipped work tops, basic travel lodge style bathroom and the dirty curtains. Had

Terrible organization and a slow and not very well trained staff. Especially their front desk staff. Quite disappointing considering the price point of the hotel. Management should seriously make some changes and bring this hotel back to the level of other 5 star hotels because currently they're way below that, a mediocre 2 star hotel at best.

Amazing hotel. Stayed here for a couple of nights. Check in was seemless and Bellman was fantastic. Rooms are spacious and really cool. Water is set down on bedside tables at night and bed turned down. Very comfy bed and quiet room. The bar is really good and wait staff super friendly. Good selection of wine and also good afternoon tea. Pricey hotel but well worth it. Great location close to the centre of everything.

I do not like the fact that they gave a hard time to David Icke who was a guest there and who was a guest speaker at the Lowry! David Icke is world known and this supposedly nice hotel did not treat him well. I think they denied him a room because protesters do not agree with the subject of his talks which by the way is fascinating!

After our excellent dinner with paired cocktails Yelp Elite event earlier in 2015, we finally returned - champagne voucher in hand!
Despite some miscommunication when we tried to call up and book, as it said on the voucher, as soon as we mentioned Yelp they were welcoming us with open arms. You cannot book for the bar area, but we were quickly escorted to a table for two with the champagne soon following.
The champagne itself was delicious and went down very well, accompanied by some candied nuts and crisps. We were checked on frequently, with our glasses being topped up as soon as they reached

The Lowry is a great choice for a hotel in Manchester - conveniently located near City Center and Spinning Fields, the rooms are ample and very comfortable/clean, nice decor and ambiance throughout, and very nice views, but most importantly I can't say enough about the service here, the staff is beyond friendly and attentive. My only complaint is they didn't have a real iron/ironing board in my room, but then again when I called down for one someone showed-up in literally about 2 minutes. Oh yeah, very reasonably priced too, what more can you ask for?!

I rushed back to the Lowry Hotel after our Yelp elite event there because I think it's such a nice place for a drink. Sadly the terrace is on the wrong side for sun in the evening but it's still nice to sit there. I ordered the same cocktail we had at the elite event which apparently was a passionfruit margarita, it seemed sweeter this time than at the event when the tequila really had bite but it was still very nice. HOWEVER it was also £14 which is outrageous when I could get a better cocktail for half the price at the Fitzgerald.
Service started off extremely attentive and then we

If I could give this hotel 6 stars, I would. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
I stayed here last weekend whilst going to a Manchester United football game. The first incline I had to realise that I was somewhere pretty special was checking in next to Aemon Holms, Phillip Schofield and Andy Peters. If they stay here, then so can I. imagine my surprise when I then was in the elevator with Christopher Biggins and Alex Ferguson.
Yeah, Alex Ferguson.
I was then told that the entire Manchester United football team were staying there. This doesn't mean much to me, but my brothers

The Lowry Hotel is by far one of the best hotels in Manchester, not only to stay in but for drinking and dining as well.
The hotel itself is beautifully laid out with fine decor and a serene atmosphere. there are some lovely paintings as you walk in and the reception staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, even the basic rooms make you feel pampered.
There is a great bar on the first floor which sells good wines, beers and great cocktails. It is over priced like most hotels but there is an exciting buzz in the place which is worth paying for. The restaurant

The Lowry hotel's proximity to the MEN make it a haunt for celebrities - Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez have both stayed there so you could indulge in a bit of celeb spotting.
It's luxurious but you do feel quite isolated for visiting the city centre and shopping - more psychological than anything though as it is close to the main city. This can also be seen as very private and an escape from the hustle and bustle rather than excluded from the rest of Manchester.
It is incredibly spacious and the rooms are white, clean and modern. There's a crispness about the decor which keeps it

I have stayed at the Lowry a few times now, and each time the experience rates highly... and I would certainly say it is the most luxurious Hotel I have ever stayed in. It is positioned well to give visitors to the city a breathtaking image of Manchester's industrial past, the River Irwell passes right next to the Hotel and from the rooms that look over the city you can see the traditional red brick warehouses and arches, that impress onto the mind the scenes L.S. Lowry is famous for painting! It does not take much imagination then to understand why this hotel is thus named The Lowry! The

Too cold, too contemperary, not enough pizzaz, its the only 5 star hotel in Salford. not Manchester, as it likes to brand itself.
Menu for food is out of this world, quite pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Very high turnover of staff and it shows in their lack of professionalism.
Try the New Hilton instead if you want special or the Princess On Portland to be in the centre of it all
