Services
Merry & Co Solicitors provides high quality legal advice in a friendly and relaxed environment. We work hard to give good value for money, and offer free quotes for all private client work. The firm's aim is to provide a professional, proficient and personal service to all clients irrespective of their individual circumstances.
Whether you are looking for a buy-to-let in a new development or a country estate for you and your family, or even a remortgage, a transfer of equity or a right to buy, we will provide the comforting reassurance of a single qualified solicitor to supervise all aspects of your matter.
Whilst this results in a more highly qualified person than may strictly be necessary to deal with some of the aspects to your transaction, we believe that only in this way can the solicitor dealing with your transaction ensure that he is fully familiar with every detail of the case.

Our fees cover all of the work required to complete the sale and/or purchase of your new home, including dealing with registration at the Land Registry and dealing with the payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax (Stamp Duty) if the property is in England, or Land Transaction Tax (Land Tax) if the property you wish to buy is in Wales.
We can help you through this difficult process by obtaining the Grant of Probate on your behalf. We will also undertake the collecting and distributing of assets. Please note that we do not collect and distribute assets in the estates that fall within this range. On average, estates that fall within this range are dealt with within 6-8 weeks.

Kept our mortgage cashback for almost 6months, was paid by mortgage company but they 'forgot' to pass funds on. Had to chase morgage company who in turn confirmed they paid merry &co 1 day after completion.. turned out accounts department didn't pass it on until we chased them. Imagine if we had not settled their bill for 6 months.. professional they're not. Official complaint pending.

Slow and passive for no apparent reason. They have delayed my move which has caused an unbelievable amount of stress on me and my family.
Need a rocket up their backsides
Edit- found out why they are so slow. they've taken on too many cases preventing them from being able to deal with clients in a timely manner.
Took 2 months just to apply for a piece of documentation.
