Services
Lee Royd Nursery school is committed to providing care and high quality education for children aged 2 to 4 in the Accrington area. We aim to develop all the children to their full potential emotionally, cognitively, physically and socially. The philosophy and ethos of Lee Royd Nursery School are based upon certain principles.
The curriculum that leaders provide is exciting and stimulating. Children, including those who are two years old, quickly become absorbed in their learning indoors and outdoors, and as a result they develop important skills across different areas of learning. Children develop positive attitudes to learning and demonstrate a determination to succeed.
The school remains an extremely well-resourced, organised nursery that provides children with a wide range of fascinating opportunities to learn. Children spend much time exploring outdoors, including being energetic and physically active.'. Children learn best when they are enjoying themselves and when they feel safe and valued.
A maintained nursery school is a local authority school, and is funded and controlled by the local authority, just like any other local authority school. They must be led by a head teacher and employ other qualified teachers, and like all schools in the country the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) must be a qualified teacher.
Unfortunately we do not provide lunches on site so children are required to bring a packed lunch with them. We are a healthy school so we encourage parents/guardians to provide a healthy balanced lunch for your child. If you would like to provide a hot lunch for your child then please put it into a flask and provide a plastic/bamboo bowl and cutlery.

Fantastic nursery would highly recommend. My daughter absolutely loved it and so did we. She was so ready for school by the time she left, they really did give her the best start as she went to school reading and writing and with a passion for learning. Couldn't thank them enough.

If i could give 10 stars i would ! Mrs Maloney, Miss hargreaves and Mrs Hussain are by far the best at what they do. Darcie has developed more than we could ever imagine in the past 12 months. The once shy timid little girl is now confident and ready for the next chapter in her life. All the staff at Lee royd are fantastic i can not reccomend it enough. have a fantastic summer holiday ladies is is truely deserved ❤👍

Both my son went there and my daughter is still there, I have never had any problem with staff, they are all realy nice, helpful and make every effort to get the very best out of every child. only thing that annoys me is when parents can't manage to shut gates after them to ensure our children's safety and when people moan over nothing .ie parking (get a life) .

Nuisance parents and staff who park outside residents house's all day.Block the street off and damage residents cars and drive off as none of them can drive.Dont worry lee Royd nursery you are in breach of your planning regs and i will be getting this nursery shut down.
