Glamocell was established in Finland in 2005 by lighting engineer Markus Silfverberg to design and manufacture high quality LED lighting products. In addition to 20 years industrial experience, Markus studied LED technology under Professor Shuji Nakamura, widely known as the "Thomas Edison of the LED industry", winner of the Millennium Technology prize of Finland in 2006 and the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2014.
Glamocell UK was launched in 2010 by Phillip Moston, Managing Director and Ruth Temple, Marketing Director who bring a wealth of commercial experience from the hospitality and engineering sectors. We are a company committed to reducing energy costs and carbon emissions, through providing sustainable LED lighting at competitive prices - representing outstanding value for money.

Services
Cut your energy costs by up to 90% with Glamocell LED lighting solutions and invest the financial savings in your business. At the same time you can reduce your carbon footprint, enhance your reputation and improve profitability. LEDs are the most cost-effective and eco-friendly lights on the market with the lowest carbon impact on the environment.
LED lighting is a technological breakthrough delivering energy efficient, long lasting, eco-friendly and powerful light. It accounts for around 25-30% of the energy bill in commercial buildings and approximately 15-20% in most homes. As a rule, LED bulbs use up to 90% less electricity than standard bulbs.
LED lighting has been around since the 1960s. LED's are semiconductor diodes which work by creating a positive - negative junction (or p-n). Once power is provided to the diode, a current flows from the anode (positive) to the cathode (negative). Electrons and electron holes then flow into the junction from electrodes, so when an electron meets a hole it creates a lower energy level providing energy as light.
Glamocell has undertaken a range of LED lighting projects for clients in the commercial and industrial sectors, where retrofitting LEDs has resulted in dramatic energy cost savings and reduction in carbon emissions. Most will expect a service life of 50,000 hours resulting in significantly lower maintenance costs too.
Here's an easy way to estimate your energy savings and reduction in carbon emissions when switching to Glamocell LED lights. LEDs have a much longer life cycle and produce less heat, so additional savings can be achieved through reduced Maintenance and Air Conditioning costs (not included in this calculator).
