The Company has the capability and expertise to tackle a wide range of civil engineering challenges, with the same attention to detail paid to both small and large projects alike. Well-trained operatives, a modern, well-maintained plant fleet and hands-on management combine to ensure project delivery to meet the customer's expectation.
A traditional mainstay of George Leslie Ltd turnover has been sewer pipeline work in both opencut and tunnel. This still accounts for a significant proportion of the Company's workload, from small diameter pipelines to the very largest, with the skills and competence to work safely in deep excavations, across both rural and urban locations.
As protecting our environment becomes increasingly more important, GL work has included Flood Alleviation and river works, green energy construction projects and regeneration schemes. The Case Studies in this section also cover a cross-section of GL's general civil engineering construction work which will often involve heavy reinforced concrete structures as well as a wide range of other challenging construction projects.
GL has had a long involvement in the construction of Wastewater Treatment Works, with a successful track record of working under turnkey, consortium and joint venture arrangements.
