The Taybank has long been known for its great music and fantastic setting on the banks of the River Tay in one of Scotland's most beautiful villages. Come and spend an afternoon or evening with a local ale or a Scottish gin in our riverside beer garden. In the Beer Garden you'll find a delicious new pizza & brioche sub menu, served from our outdoor kitchen by the river - Monday to Saturday 12pm-3pm; 5pm-9pm, Sunday 12pm-7pm.
No booking required. Beautifully renovated, decorated in calming, peaceful colours, with en suite shower rooms. Our restaurant upstairs has amazing views out over the garden, across the Tay, to the hills. Over the summer, we hold many events in the garden including regular craft markets, music events and small festivals.

Pretty exceptional food well served at this traditional pub. It's dog friendly.
We had the Sunday roast, the meat was beautiful, pink with lovely root veg and excellent roast potatoes.
Served on lovely plates with excellent cutlery. Overall service was superb. I'm very pleasantly surprised, I was expecting pub-grub. I'll certainly be back.

In room 2, on arrival at 4 ish said the bathroom radiotors were not working. After a lovely meal 22.21 radiotors still not working. Had a cup of tea but where to put the tea leaves,?? in the wire basket or down the sink . Tried the sink they went and took ages for the tea leaves to go. Lots of style over practical applications.

Great location, food very good, staff attentive
We booked The Garden Appartment as we have a dog, maybe naively, assuming, ground floor with garden access - No, flat is up fairly steep stairs in a tenement block behind hotel - this should be made clearer in your marketing of said rooms. Rooms maybe a tad overpriced - liked the breakfast basket (nice idea) delivery to the room albeit i'd expect whoever delivers to have a key to let themselves into building rather than buzzing everyone awake.
I walked about barefoot & after an hour or so my feet were filthy so perhaps floor hadn't been cleaned

We had a couple of drinks in this usually good pub. I paid for our first round which I thought was a bit expensive, even for Dunkeld. Second round purchase by husband who questioned prices. Seems a pint of Black Isle stout was £7 and medium wine £5. There was no price list behind bar regarding price of stout. When queried prices said they didn't have too display prices it was owners choice. Thought it was a legal requirement. !! We have been visiting Dunkeld for many years and can't help but feel some establishments are ripping off their visitors and tourists.
We usually stay at Dunkeld House

We had some lunch in here. The place itself was very well done out and obviously is a music venue. The food was good but small portions and big prices. I ordered soup with crusty bread. They sent me the wrong soup in the first instance. Waited ages for the correct soup and only got one small pieced of bread.

This is pub food the way it should be! We had the fish&chips and the fish burger. Everything was tasty and homemade. The beer garden is awesome also the choice of tap beers . Pick the blonde one from Black Isle Brewery! This is still one of my favorite places in Scotland. If you are around here, come and get in! The best choice you will have! We'd been here for the fourth time, never been disappointed! And we will come back!

I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere was great, but the service was just horrible. They took forever to get our food out (I ate with a group of 5 others) and when it finally did arrive, they completely messed up two orders (I am not talking just missed a side dish or something, but brought out completely different food) and forgot my order altogether. And since their food is cooked to order (which is a good thing normally), I had to sit and watch while my group mates ate their meals. Then, when they finally brought my order...it was entirely the wrong item. I eventually cancelled

What a little gem in this small town!!
I visited it a while ago, we found excellent the warm environment in the pub, friendly, chatty, vibrant, after 17h00 on a Sunday on our way back to Edinburgh.
Gin and whiskey bottles were turned into candle holders. Guitars and violins were hung on the wall above a real piano!
Reading the posters, it is also a music venue.
While we were there, we noticed it's dog friendly and it had excellent rock music!
The service was pretty quick, top marks! The chips were nice and crispy with their skin (not the chunky ones).
