Really pleased with the customer service provided by Andy Johnson. I have had my various bikes repaired, serviced, and tyre changes, and each time the work has been completed to a high standard and competitive priced. I took my bike in for a tyre change and MOT. Being a Ducati, my bolts were corroded and would not budge but Andy didn't complain, he just set about the task and got the job done.
Andy also managed to fit me in for a surprise MOT and as he went over the bike he actually talked me through some of the bits and gave knowledgeable advice on some maintenance bits. Andy is a top quality motorcycle mechanic, his pricing is very competitive and he's fair unlike many dealer-based mechanics I've come across (& heard horror stories about).

Services
The short service is a basic inspection and covers many of the items covered in a full service - But this is only a visual check without actually dismantling your bike. Major servicing, it is necessary to check the valve clearances on your motorcycle. Sometimes it is necessary to completely remove the carburettors / throttle bodies and radiators.

Hi all, i found Andy on the internet when i was in trouble, long story short, my aftermarket exhaust would not stay in place (old honda scoot with parts not available), Andy made up some bits and carried out a great job, he also freed off my sticking rear brake and gave the scoot a good going over, pronouncing it nice and safe to ride.
Thank you Andy, i will be back in the new year for a full service and anything else it may need simply the best đź‘Ť.

Dropped in my ZX9 for some much needed work as it was a little neglected by previous owners. Andy looked it over and advised on where we should start and kept me up to date on progress as he worked on it. Really impressed with the work done and can honestly say it's like a different bike. Would recommend

I first come across Andy aka "The MDR" the year before last when searching high n low for a Mechanic who is an expert in his field and more importantly could trust with my bike and give it the workmanship it deserves.
After using his services again recently, my 1990 GSXR750L feels like a new bike! New Rear suspension and complete Fork stripdown / Rebuild I.e polished forks/yokes, new stanchions, bushes, seals, - Carburetors stripped & ultrasonically cleaned/rebuilt - stripped cam cover threads helicoiled - bike service and other bits n pieces painted n polished.

Further to my first review (found below) I have continued to use Andy (or MD Doctor) and in addition to the bike mentioned previously he now also looks after a CBF1000FA that I own. So I thought I'd update my review...as I have now used Andy for some time and with 2 bikes and I couldn't be more pleased.
Andy? Well he's passionate about motorcycling, highly experienced and really knowledgeable. A visit to his neat workshop is also good fun for me as I can see the work he's undertaking on a range o bikes big and small. So whether it is servicing, repairs, tyres or MOTs....I cannot recommend

Andy is my trusted contact for Motorcycle repairs and MOT. He always seems 100% committed to providing a service to customers and will bend over backwards to accommodate customers. It's easy to see that he knows his stuff when it comes to bikes from the enthusiasm and readiness with which he will share knowledge (not all mechanics want you to know how your bike works for obvious reasons........).

After the main dealer's prices kept going up and up and I started finding little things not properly done I took a punt on the Motorcycle Doctor based on the reviews online.
Excellent decision and I was very impressed. I had the front fork seals replaced on my bike and the price was very reasonable, the work to a high standard and the whole experience was more relaxed and inspired more confidence than the main dealer.
I will definitely be taking my bike back for future services and work.

After years of using a local triumph dealership because I felt I had to, I decided to look for someone independent to help me out when my Bonneville wasn’t running right.
After reading a few reviews I thought I’d get in touch with Andy. Not only did he pick the bike up (for a quarter of the price my local dealership was quoting) he kept in touch throughout repairing the bike and consulted me before spending my money on parts.
