Elite Tree Services (East Anglia) Limited is a small local family business. Paul Thomas established the business in 1995, and is still our director. Having gained an HND in Forestry at the Scottish School of Forestry in Inverness, and having gained experience in both commercial forestry and arboriculture with the Forestry Commission and in the private sector, he returned to Suffolk, where he had grown up.
He set up as a sole trader in 1995 with the help of his father and a trailer borrowed from a friend. Through quality of service and hard work, the reputation of the business was cultivated and in 2003 Elite Tree Services (East Anglia) Limited was incorporated. Our main office and yard are in Kesgrave, near Ipswich and we have smaller depots near Framlingham, Claydon and Colchester.

We are a family run business providing domestic tree services as well as a commercial tree service.
1 - if the tree is damaged or diseased, and there is a risk that it may lose limbs that could cause damage, you can seek permission from the LDC Tree officer to carry out works with a 7 days day notice of your intentions. Your request will need to be supported by a Tree surgeons report - we can do this on your behalf.
It is essential that any contractor that you employ to work at your property is fully insured for the work being carried out. This is specially relevant regarding working at height as some policies put a restriction on the maximum height the contractor can work at. Insurances are only valid if your contractor is using suitably trained, qualified and experienced staff, using the correct equipment and working practices for the job.

Really good service from the guys from Elite. We have a huge cherry tree that rises over a raised deck which they pruned back by a third, tidying everything up afterwards. Not only is the much loved tree a beautiful, perfect shape now but it also looks like it can now breathe. I would have no hesitation in using them again and I would definitely recommend them.
