Services
The Lowestoft Golf Club was founded in 1887 by a group of enthusiasts on the Denes in Lowestoft. In 1906 some of these golfers and their successors formed the Lowestoft Golf Course Company Ltd in order to purchase land in Pakefield for a 9 hole course to be rented to the club. In 1924 a further purchase of land enabled the Company to call on the services of James Braid to design a full 18 hole course.
Gary Kitley is a PGA Qualified Class AA(T) Golf Professional. He qualified in 1991, winning a Titleist Scholarship along the way, which is awarded to the top 15 graduates in each year. He has been teaching for 23 years in total, helping golfers of all levels, from novice to county player, from juniors to Professionals.
The Club is aware that as some members get older, they may, through various reasons no longer be able to walk the full 18 holes of the course. With the Equality Act of 2010 now in place, England Golf along with the NGCAA (National Golf Clubs Advisory Association) have formulated guidelines for golf clubs to follow when allowing members to bring their own buggies safely onto their course.
Rookery Park Golf Club sincerely hope that Members and Visitors fully enjoy their golf here in conditions which are as safe as reasonably possible. By the very nature of the game of golf we believe that it is not possible to completely eradicate the risk of damage or injury, but every effort has been made to keep these risks to a minimum.
We welcome applications for membership whether by invitation from existing members or if you do not know anyone at Rookery Park the please contact the Secretary. The annual fees are shown below. You will be assured of a warm welcome at Rookery Park so please don't hesitate to contact us by telephone or sending the enquiry form to our email address.

The variety of trees around the course is amazing. I do love a good horse chestnut tree.

Driving range only review, you can pay with a debit card now which is far better than messing about with change.

Par 3 excellent, the main course is in amazing condition, the only thing that spoiled our day was the local elderly players who decided 3 minutes after we had tee'd off it was safe for them to then tee off, then taking any where between 4 and 8 shots to get to the green then proceed to put from one side to the other until eventually dropping, and the group behind mirrored this teeing off as soon as they thought it was safe and then all moaning about slow play!!! because it was our first ever round here so club choice was thought about and we also Mark our ball on the greens and clean balls line

Exellent condition, poor service, no pro shop, only 2 buggys and the one i booked had only 1/4 charge so was more concerned it would get me round than concentrating on golf, somewhat took the edge off a 400mile round trip

Great looking course, great condition and challenging. Good food and bar area with a terrace that overlooks the course. Decently stocked pro shop and helpful staff.
