It can be a challenge to reflect our values, concerns and personalities into the Smokey Barn brand. Our small batch roasterie and coffee shop operates out of a converted barn on King Street, Norwich; where we always roast fresh to order and stock a hand picked selection of Rainforest Alliance & Organic coffee.
We're very proud to be located in such a historic part of our beautiful city! Our little barn is part of an old trading wharf dating back to the 13th century; named ABC Wharf after the 'ABC Steam Shipping Co' that used the area as their dock in 1895. The building has seen many owners come and go over the years but has now been transformed into our cozy coffee hub.

I like to support independent coffee shops so I travelled from South Norfolk to visit Smokey Barn. Due it's location I had to pay to park only to find out that they were only serving takeaway coffee. Not impressed. This was due to them roasting and alot going on. The roasting is obviously more important than walk in customers, so I purchased a coffee which was nice and left. Be advised, check they are allowing sit in customers before you pay for parking.

Awful coffee, burnt taste. "Barister" has no clue about roasting techniques and is very arrogant. I suggest that the positive reviews are added by friends of the owner as I noticed one review is by the landlord. Seating area is located on a mechanics access road with cars and fumes spoiling an already poor coffee experience. Certainly a lot better establishments available in the city, in fact, better on the same street.

Out of all the cafes in Norwich, Smokey Barn serves the freshest coffee! I watch Pete often roasting the various beans and it always smells great. He is meticulous at roasting -
only small batches at a time - to perfection which keeps the quality and continuity to the highest.
I highly recommended their coffee to anyone who appreciates great quality.
They also offer a great deal for buying several coffees in a hamper which makes a great present!

Fast becoming our favourite coffee spot in Norwich. Slightly away from the busy city centre but still close to our office. It's easy not to spot this place - it's in a dinky and unpretentious old warehouse, tucked away by the river. We were charmed by the lovely owners who welcome everyone, with chat if you want it, or if you don't, with space to enjoy your own thoughts. To the good location and the friendly people, add great coffee at sensible prices and they've got us hooked. This is one of those places we're reluctant to review publicly in case it gets ramma-jammed. They deserve lots of success
