Services
Thank you for visiting Graham Smith Antiques, we are a British antiques business based in North East England, on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our family owned business has been established for 16 years though Graham has been gathering his experience and knowledge in the antiques trade for over 40 years having been a director and partner within a large international antiques business prior to opening his own shop.
We have a large selection of antique bookcases made from mahogany, oak, walnut and rosewood which vary in size from a small Victorian book slide which you would use on your desk top to hold 10-15 books to the large Georgian library break front bookcases which hold hundreds of books.
The book slide or trough can have fixed ends or the type which folds down at each end when not being used, the slides some times expand to allow extra space for more books.Wall hanging bookshelves do not adjust so you have to make sure that the books you have will go between the shelves and the wall you are fixing to will be strong enough to take the weight.

Miniature chests made as apprentice pieces in rosewood and mahogany or Victorian Childs chests for children to play with their dolls with.
We always have antique desks of all styles in stock, bureaus, pedestal desks, davenport desks, writing tables, knee hole desks from the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods. Was looking forward to Graham Smith Antiques, however was disappointed as everything was overpriced and just couldn’t afford any of the items. It’s very unusual for me to work out from the Antiques without buying something interesting and unique. I think their business is more concentrated towards international market like America!!

If you want a treat, visit this showroom to enjoy looking round the wide range of beautiful antiques - furniture, glass, ceramics and more. You will be made very welcome. But take your purse because you won't be able to resist buying some gem! I bought 3 items, which will give me lasting pleasure - and to my sons when I pass them on!

I bought beautiful champagne glasses online a few years ago as an engagement present for my daughter and future son in law. Unfortunately, one of them got broken, and although I knew that I would never get a match, I happened to be in the area today so decided to go and see the shop. This is a truly lovely antique shop! Everything in the shop is of the highest quality and if you love beautiful furniture and objects, it is definitely worth a detour for. One of the nicest antique shops I have been in!
