There are many more jobs that fall within the scope of tree surgery, some of which we outline below. Here at Steve's Trees we employ only fully qualified and insured tree surgeons, with all the necessary qualifications for performing tree surgery work both at ground level and whilst climbing. If you need to let more light through the canopy of a tree, or just make a general reduction in its size then crown thinning will be required.
Tree felling is the complete dismantling of a tree. The stump will be left as close to the ground as possible, although it will still be above ground level. The method of tree felling will depend on the situation of the tree. If there is enough space the tree will be felled from ground level in one section and then dismantled once down.
If you have had a tree taken down, you will be left with the job of removing the stump. While many people choose to keep the tree stump as a garden feature it's not always practical, especially if the tree that has been removed was diseased, or the tree root is encroaching on buildings or drains. Tree stump removal can be a difficult task, especially if the tree was large and established with a big root system so it's not a DIY job.
