Freeway UK Insurance Services
With more than 20 years of experience insuring Britain's taxis, we know taxi drivers, we know the taxi business and we know insurance. That's why we're the taxi insurance broker of choice for Britain's private hire, public hire, executive car and Uber drivers and we boast one of the highest renewals rates in our industry.

Freeway is focused solely on private hire, public hire, executive car and Uber taxi insurance. We deal with taxi insurance - nothing else - and we think we do it better than anyone else. It means we have an in-depth understanding of the industry and we've tailored our products around what UK taxi drivers really need.
Services
A mix of niche insurance specialists, home grown talent and more recent senior appointments from the worlds of fast fashion, international retail, high street banking and corporate law make up the Freeway team. That experience combined gives us the wisdom earned over 20 years in business and the energy of a hungry start-up.
Taxi insurance is required if you intend to carry passengers for hire and reward. Your taxi must be in good working order and licensed by the appropriate licence authority in your area. Comprehensive taxi insurance covers your taxi for damage, whether it's your fault or not. You'll also be covered should you become the victim of fire, theft or vandalism to your vehicle.
All figures and policies quoted apply for insured Uber drivers using products and services supplied by Freeway-approved providers. Please see policy documents for full list. No reduction will apply to damage caused by fire, theft (including attempted theft), malicious damage/vandalism, flood, or where there is no third party vehicle involved.
You can easily add RAC Breakdown Cover to any of your motor insurance policies. Breakdown policies from the RAC cover all public and private hire vehicles including executive taxis and Uber taxis. Freeway is focused solely on private hire, public hire, executive car and Uber taxi insurance. We deal with taxi insurance - nothing else - and we think we do it better than anyone else.
With the wisdom earned over 20 years in business and the energy of a hungry start-up, Freeway has attracted colleagues from the worlds of fast fashion, international retail and high street banking who have understood our goals and wanted in on the action. There's never been a more exciting time to join the Freeway family as we navigate a period of unprecedented growth.

So needed my windscreen replaced.
Gave me a time of 2 weeks!!!!
So an insurance company that specialises in taxi insurance.......self employed, have to wait 2 weeks, so no earnings and a £120 excess..........really???
UPDATE;
So here we are today 13/11/2021 a problem which I reported to freeway late October and still not repaired. National windscreens were supposed to come to me today to replace the screen but their guy called me and said he can't fix it as it's raining!! I told him we had no rain where I live in fact it has been sunny and dry so far today and surly they just put up a gazebo

They're certainly competitive in their quote, however I was told by my dad that he initially got insurance from here. At the time, they didn't ask if he's got any points, any accidents etc...
So, they insured him for a few days, whilst waiting for the code from DVLA. Then, they said that because he's got three points, they're going to cancel the insurance and they're going to basically charge him £250 for what amounts to less than a week's worth of insurance. They didn't actually ask about this beforehand.
They tried to say "Well it's in our terms and conditions" but it reeks of unprofessionalism

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
Really poor customer service. Took nearly 6 weeks before deciding car was not worth repairing then showed no empathy and passed blame on to their own partner organisations.

You should not buy a policy that binds you with their recommended credit hire, repairers as they bind you to get hire and repair commissions on the top of their fees and commissions from the insurers to sell their policies to you. You are only covered for public liability within your private hire licensing areas. Should check with FCA if any broker can bind you to use their network if you met an accident. Better shop around as Gold Plated is not a real Gold :)

This is the best insurance company I have ever had dealings with. The staff are so genuinely helpful, friendly, polite and attentive. Not to mention the fact that the price of my insurance was almost £500 pounds cheaper than most other quotes! I really could not believe it and had to ask several times if this was correct. I even asked them to double check my details in case something had been written down in error!
When my renewal comes up next year you will be the first company I call!!
Many thanks to Rob, Dan and the three ladies I spoke with (unfortunately I lost the note with your names

Like others unfortunately you only know how good they are when making a claim.
My experience so far is so low I’ve now taken to ombudsman. These cowboys should be shut down they are not fit to operate as a honest insurance company.
They have treated me all the way through this claim like a criminal and only saying parts of the car were damaged and not all.
As others have said will only provide courtesy car if your not at fault. I’ve now been off road for about 3 months and they insist I repair at their garage and not my chosen dealership which is against the law. Reason provided they are
