Although it is a new name for us, we have been producing quality pieces for the last twenty two years for Tobias and the Angel, a well known furniture and fabric shop in London. We still produce all their hand crafted furniture and you can visit their website at www.tobiasandtheangel.com. In our estate workshops in Surrey we have during our time produced an amazingly wide range of items.

Everything from the beds and cupboards you can see on this website to special one off commisions including fitting out an entire room in oak and cedar cupboards to make an impressive walk in wardrobe. There is not much we haven't been asked to do over the years and each time we have used our skill and experience to find solutions that work for our customers.
Services
At JLMBespokeFurniture we offer a wide range of made to order hand crafted pieces. From wonderful childrens beds including the Larsen bed shown above with its hidden compartment to the elegant Mdme Bovary bed which is perfect for any romantic bedroom. Tables are one of our specialities. All our table tops are made from hand picked hardwood and are crafted from solid 50mm thick timber throughout.
The top pictures of a German knock down cupboard which had hanging on one side and shelving on the other. The ones below are of a linen press which has drawers below and shelves above. The client wanted it for her daughters room so we put one shelf in above with a hanging rail so she could hang her clothes up.
As well as furniture we also offer many other services. Wooden windows and doors can often become a problem. From simple repainting when they have become old and tired, to more serious problems, we can be there to advise and help. We also can turn our hand to many other carpentry and joinery problems, below are a few samples.
We had an interesting job to return a kichen floor to its previous glory. The clients were going away for three days which gave us a good window to get the work done. The varnish had worn away and had become quite patchy in places. To begin with we sanded off all the old varish (a harder job than we had expected but as we had promised to have the job completed within a three days we had to sand on).
With the large wardrobe doors open you can see the two hanging poles in the right hand side one. On the left we made an access hole to utilise the dead space at the bottom. The drawers were on full extension soft close runners to give maximum usable space and comfort of use. Here is the finished look.
