We listen to you, and then examine you to diagnose the source of your pain and we identify why it has occurred. We use physical manipulation, gentle stretching and massage to relieve your symptoms and integrate Clinical Pilates exercises to rehabilitate you and prevent your pain returning. We tailor treatment to you taking into account your specific needs and individual situation.

Osteopaths undergo 4 years training to Masters Degree level and we are committed to continuing our education every year. Our private, ground floor clinic is conveniently located on Great George Street in the heart of Leeds City Centre directly opposite the Leeds General Infirmary. Consultations with our skilled Osteopaths are by appointment only in our modern, comfortable clinic.

Alan's interest is identifying the how and why your pain has occurred at this time, this helps him work with you to design a plan that will get you pain-free and keep you that way for years to come. He is a trained Pilates Clinician, having completed DMA Clinical Pilates training to level 3 in matwork, he designs individual tailored programs to help you recover from your specific pathology rather than using a generalist exercise approach.
Osteopaths famously treat problems with the spine but also diagnose and treat a wide variety of common musculoskeletal conditions. We will also refer you on as appropriate for further investigations where it falls outside our specialist area, such as imaging, medical tests or surgery.

Low back pain is very common with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) estimating that around one-third of the UK adult population will be affected each year. They recommend both manual therapy and exercise therapy as suitable treatment approaches. At Leeds Osteopathy & Clinical Pilates we combine the two to give you the best of both worlds!
Do you have chronic back/neck pain and been recommended Pilates but found classes either aggravate your condition or are difficult to fit in with your schedule? The Clinical Pilates method matches specific tailored exercises that suit you and your current condition. This is not a generalised exercise program, you will have a simple set of matched exercises which are easy to complete at home and we will supervise you throughout your recovery.
Our bright, modern clinic is conveniently located in the centre of Leeds opposite the Great George street entrance to the Leeds General Infirmary. Our entrance is between the RMUK Hair Salon and the cash machine. On arrival please press the buzzer and we will let you into our waiting area. On street parking is available nearby on Great George Street and Thoresby Place (Pay and display).

I've also a cyst on the brain and chiari malformation and other conditions they use the term incidental finding on an mri yet an FMRI is needed.
