It is important that you get your eyes checked regularly. It is recommended that you have a sight test every two years (or more frequently if recommended by your optician). The examination not only determines your ability to see, but also checks the general health of your eyes. An OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan allows us to see what is happening beneath the surface of your eye.

The appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss your eye care history, any problems you may be having and whether or not there are any eye conditions that run in your family.After your eye examination your optician may want to carry out further tests to ensure we are doing the best we can for your eyes.

An OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan allows us to see what is happening beneath the surface of your eye. The scan produces a 3D image showing the different layers in your eye. Our opticians are able to study and measure the thickness of these layers. This helps us to determine the health of your eyes in greater detail.
It is so important you feel good and are comfortable in your glasses - especially when you have to wear them every day. That's why we have a wide range of beautiful frames to suit each individual. We are always updating the styles we carry and we will assist you in finding the perfect frame. If you have seen a frame you love elsewhere we may be able to order it for you - our dispensing optician will be happy to discuss this with you.
We have our own glazing laboratory on-site which allows us to prove you a more efficient and professional service. This helps us to minimise waiting times for our patients who need their glasses quickly. Once you have had your eyes tested our dispensing optician will help you to find the perfect frame.

I was staying with family in Worksop and managed to break my glasses, my usual opticians was saying two weeks to see me, I cant see without my glasses and happened to be in Worksop town centre and popped into David -Todd by chance and walked out in 30 mins with a new pair of glasses. The optician was very helpful and friendly.

Ive been to Davies-Todd Opticians and i was offered the chance of having a new eye test, which is called OCT and for £28 i thought you only have one pair of eyes, Sunny told me about it and without thinking about it, i said i'd have the test done, it doesn't hurt, in fact i was surprised how good it was and to see the results after with the Optician and he shown you how it all works and shown me what he was looking at and for. i was so amazed at how clear it shows your eyes front and back and how clear you can see what you want to see, so please when you go for your check up, either speak to Sunny
