Dalriada Veterinary Surgery
A mixed veterinary practice based in Lochgilphead, Argyll. We aim to provide a dedicated and caring service to all our clients and their animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Consultations are by appointment. Our emergency service is provided by our own vets. Dalriada Veterinary provides a veterinary service for approximately 40 local farms, though small animal and equine practice forms the bulk of our work.

We are proud to offer a vet on call, round the clock, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. From dogs to degus, we provide an extensive range of routine and emergency treatments to a wide variety of companion animals at our surgery in Lochgilphead. Covering a wide area geographically, we offer a professional service which includes cattle pregnancy scanning, help and advice with health planning as well as all the normal farm vet services 24 hours a day.
Services
In 1931, a small group of local farmers agreed to act as guarantors for the establishment of a veterinary practice in Lochgilphead and John M Fletcher was duly appointed. He worked from his home at Lorne Terrace, Lochgilphead. Prior to this date, by hearsay, a veterinary service had been provided by "one Montgomery", who was based at Moneydrain and travelled by bicycle.
As you approach Lochgilphead on the A83 from Inveraray go straight on at the first roundabout. You will then pass the High School on your right hand side. When you reach a roundabout (there is an Esso petrol station with a Tesco on your right before this roundabout) take the first exit onto Lochnell Street.
