Day-to-day management of accounts is time-consuming for small and medium-sized business owners. Keeping your records up to date, submitted on time, chasing payments and producing invoices is all part of our role as bookkeepers.
We know that small business owners and sole traders all need to multi-task leaving you less time to ensure your accounts and finances are maintained. Do you know when you can claim VAT and when you can't? Online VAT returns aren't always as straightforward as you think. If you are unsure whether you can claim VAT on meals, train fares or utility bills, then it would be better to use an experienced bookkeeper to ensure you are claiming all you can.
We can help you find your way through the CIS returns, which are legal requirements submitted each month for sub-contractors. We have invested in software to make this a cheaper and less painful task for you to complete; pass us the paperwork, and we will submit everything to HMRC for you. We'll verify your sub-contractors and process monthly statements.

Helen and the HM team have been looking after my invoicing, self assessments and VAT returns. As I am really busy with all the other things that I need to worry about in my business I am certainly not worried about my bookkeeping as the team have me covered!
