After starting my career running a pub, I quickly realised I had an affinity with numbers and moved into accountancy. Starting from the bottom up and then studying and achieving my AAT qualification, I then branched out to run my own business.

Late 2013 I took the life changing decision to relocate from Yorkshire to Cornwall, being drawn to the coast whilst continuing to follow my chosen career path, which has now culminated in my new role as Senior Accountant at Karrek Accountants, part of the highly successful Karrek Group.It is an excellent fit for me as their honest, straight forward, customer led approach fits nicely with my core values.
