It all started when my parents bought me a camera aged 17 and from that day I was pretty much hooked. It was my hobby for quite a few years until I decided to go and do an HND in photography at Glasgow Building an Printing in 1995. I was in my element, I loved it. I even made my Dad convert a cupboard in my flat into a dark room (showing my age here).
Gail is an experienced wedding photographer in Scotland, and specialises in creative and candid wedding photography in an informal, relaxed style to capture the true essence of your big day. From morning preparations to the evening reception, the whole day is covered by me in a reportage style and tailored to your specific requirements.
Gail covers a wide spectrum of commercial photography in Scotland. She specialises in business, promotional and media photoshoots and has worked for many of the country's leading companies, newspapers and magazines. Gail is a world travelled photographer and has a unique style which has been carefully honed through years of photo journalism across the globe.
I have been taking professional pictures of children for years for many different publications. I decided to branch into photographing children in their own environment to create natural and fun shots for families to cherish for years to come. I started with my own niece and nephew and now that I have two children of my own I know how fantastic it is when you get that shot that just sums them up.

Gail was our photographer for our lockdown wedding in October 2020. There were not only challenges as a result of Covid, as the weather could have been better and we faced having our wedding in near hurricane conditions! However none of this phased Gail and we were very happy with the level of care that was shown to ensure we got the photographs we wanted. Gail was very accomodating and worked around us (and the poor weather) brilliantly!

We used Gail for our wedding at House for an Art Lover in November. We loved the look of her photos and from our first meeting onwards she was the perfect choice. She kept in touch with us in the run up to our wedding, so we knew what to expect on the day and so she knew what we wanted from our photographs. Gail photographed our wedding on the 24th March and she was wonderful throughout. She put me and the girls all at ease in the morning when nerves started to kick in and she took great photos of everyone throughout the day. I really liked the fact that Gail takes more natural ‘in the moment’ shots which meant we had loads of time to spend with family and friends which was important to us.Thanks again Gail, you were fabulous and the photos are great! When searching for a wedding photographer for our 03 Aug wedding at House for an Art Lover, we looked for portfolios with bright images and a natural, candid style. Gail's photos matched perfectly with what we wanted. It didn't hurt that she's photographed at the venue dozens of times so we had plenty of reference images. Communication prior to the wedding was great and we went into the day with no concerns.

Gail photographed our wedding day on the 30th July at House for an Art Lover. Throughout the process Gail was very professional and helpful with anything we could ask for leading up to the day meaning we were completely comfortable knowing that on the day our photos would be exactly what we were looking for. We are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos by Gail. We wanted a photographer that captured the spirit of the day but without overtaking and spending the afternoon posing for photos. Gail found the perfect balance by capturing many beautiful unplanned moments but ensuring we also planned a few great friends and family shots.
