Dining Having fantastic produce on your door step, it's about letting the quality do the talking. In the bar we let the natural flavours do the talking. Our mixologists create their own cordials, mixers and botanicals to compliment our very own 'home grown' Chase Spirits, Willys ACV 'Mock-tails' and our Williams Chase Wines.
Bar open for guests and residents. Home to our popular cocktail masterclasses. We believe in Herefordshire farmers and their passion to provide outstanding ingredients. Then it's up to us to take what's on our door step and really capture the flavours of Herefordshire. Restaurant dining available to overnight guests only.

We believe that what grows together on land and around our shores, goes together on the plate. Eating British fruits and vegetables in season is good for you. Foods in season contain the nutrients, minerals and trace elements that our bodies need at particular times of the year. Being from farming stock ourselves, located in the heart of rural Herefordshire means we are not only spoilt for choice, but we know what's good, and when.
Verzon House is located in East Herefordshire in the Wye Valley. Our rural location offers stunning views the fertile farmland from which we source much of our produce including fruits, asparagus, Herefordshire beef and even the potatoes used by Chase Distillery - the largest single estate distillery in the UK.
Our menus change with the seasons and availability of ingredients. Please ring on the day for details of what we are serving and advise of any dietary requirements. We are sorry - but the hospitality sector staff shortages have caught up with us! As a result, we are currently only open for restaurant and bar food service for residents until further notice.
Our kitchen brigade are a young team of passionate gourmands. All originating or living in the area means they have an insight into where to go for the seasons finest ingredients - and how to enjoy the region. Work hard play hard is our mantra! Headed up by Charlie, who provides an incredible knowledge of flavour to support the high quality dishes.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and the cocktails were great. Out of champagne, which was surprising given we visited on 23rd December! Screw top prosecco was the alternative; nice drink itself but the screw top detracted the party atmosphere.
Would visit again because of the lovely food but left slightly disappointed with the drinks situation.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the suites.
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely gentleman called Doug he was very personable and friendly showed us to our room.
We had the top floor so had amazing views over the Malvern hills.
The room is nicely done and has everything you need from bath robes to a delicious English Sparkling rose.
Luke who I believe is the general manger is delightful like Doug very personable and makes you feel very comfortable with amazing cocktails which I highly recommend.
The food is 10/10 I cannot recommend highly enough, it’s truly exquisite.

We had stayed here almost 6 years ago to the day previously. Our experience this time around was at 2 ends of the spectrum . The hotel is very sad , tired and tatty around the edges . We started with such high expectations. The only room available was the small double, how bad could it be at £200 per night ... Bad !! No wardrobe or hangers .. The smell !! The receptionist described it as 'Fausty' . The worn out bed , The flat rancid pillows , The postage size poundshop towels , The luke warm shower . We tried to make the best of a bad job and asked for hangers and replacement pillows . Our complimentary

Had such a nice stay here! Food is spectacular, seriously it was some of the best farm to table quality I've had. Spent 4 nights. Beautiful setting, super nice staff, and located in picturesque countryside. Head through Ledbury town up to Melvin Hills for a great walk/hike. And of course Eastnor Castle.

Brilliant meal here last night. This place is tucked away in the Herefordshire countryside in a huge old building. The decor inside is warm and cosy, modern yet reminiscent of its surroundings and very farm influenced. The bar area has roaring fires, big comfy arm chairs and sofas, beams, wooden floors.. You get the just. Absolutely great bar menu, loads of different spirits available and unique cocktails along with a couple of beers on tap. Bar staff are very friendly and worth chatting to about the drinks, where they come from, what goes best with what etc.

A secret place that doesnt come any better!!!
Spent a few days here and wow was I surprised. It was unbelievably cold outside but warm and cozy inside. Two wonderful glowing fireplaces helped, as did a wonderful pot of tea.
The rooms are amazing. You so wouldn't expect it but don't judge a book by its cover. You have everything you need in the room and it is just so warm and inviting. We actually had a look at a few of the rooms and got to choose the one we wanted. Went for amazing walks, saw many foxes, pheasant and hare's.
The staff are very accommodating and go out
