I love nature & people and am passionate about preserving our natural world. A childhood in Singapore gave me a fascination for plants and flowers, which led to the desire to work as a florist. I trained in England at Merrist Wood, completing my floristry diplomas in 1996, the same year I was married.

I organised a surprise visit for my wife to Heavenly Scent to choose some flowers for our house. Melanie was absolutely super in corresponding with me, making arrangements and receiving pictures of our room to generate ideas. On the day we had a great time choosing different flower arrangements and Melanie gave us great advice on what to choose and how to arrange. We were so pleased with the visit that we are thinking of arranging a similar one for my wife's mother (I hope she's not reading this!)

Melanie did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding.
From the moment we booked with her, she was constantly in communication with us and listened carefully to what we wanted.
I received so many compliments on our wedding day about my flowers - most people couldn't believe that they weren't real!
The flowers were also sprayed with a lovely scent which I can still smell on them now! (two months later).
What was great was that Melanie invited me to her workshop - prior to my wedding - where I could see the range of flowers and discuss in detail what I wanted.

We had our wedding on 15th July this year and Melanie was amazing right from the start! I had no idea on table centrepieces or different flower names but knew the look i was going for, after sending a few pictures she knew exactly what we wanted, kept us up to date the whole time and was able to make Tithe barn look absolutely beautiful and with zero stress for us on the morning. I've used Heavenly Scent for my wedding flowers before Melanie switched to using faux flowers, and more recently in 2019 for a recreation of my wedding bouquet using faux flowers and for a faux bouquet for my mother-in-law.
Melanie provided images of the bouquets during their creation so I could tweak something if I wanted to. The wedding bouquet looks exactly like my original bouquet, so much so that my mother-in-law thought they were real flowers. Beautiful wedding bouquets, buttonholes, hair flowers & corsage were just perfect for my wedding day. Melanie advised me so well and the faux flowers were so amazing and looked so realistic. I chose Lotus Flower & Tea Rose as the fragrance for my wedding flowers and it was just wonderful to have the bouquets scented – months later, they are still fragrancing my home as I have been able to keep my bouquet to have forever.
