Services
Just as your ideas are unique, our approach to protecting them is individually tailored. We formulate intelligent plans to safeguard your intellectual property - now and into the future. Over the years we've worked with a range of clients and sectors, assembling a wealth of expertise. Building on that experience, our advice focuses on what's happening today - as well as what tomorrow may bring.
Our roots are very much in the world of intellectual property. In 1871, Messrs Abel and Imray - both engineers and founding members of the Institute of Patent Agents - established our firm of patent attorneys in London. Over the next 110 years, our reputation and client base grew. Until, in the 1980s, a wealth of work from the South West called for a second office to be opened in Bath.
Patents, trade marks and design protection may be our bread and butter. But our approach is always individually tailored. Whether you're bringing a new product to market or managing an existing IP portfolio, dealing with infringement or developing an IP strategy, we focus on getting the best possible outcome for you and your business.
We cover the entire spectrum of patent law - from drafting new patent applications and handling oppositions, to assessing validity and conducting intellectual property audits. Once drafted, see how we meet all the necessary filing requirements for your application - and take them to grant at patent offices.
When it comes to drafting patent applications (whether it is a UK, European or PCT [International] patent application), we draw on our market-wide experience and legal expertise. We work closely with you at each step to understand both your technology and your commercial goals in order to create a well-targeted and comprehensive patent application.
