Mind Over Matter Scotland
I'm on a mission to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be and to let you discover on the way just how much you're capable of achieving. Whether you're interested in hypnosis to lose weight or to deal with anxiety, I'm giving you a flavour below of just some the programmes I provide and if you don't see what you're looking for, drop me a line and we can have a chat.

These one-to-one sessions are for you if you are ready to make healthier choices in order to achieve long term freedom from excess weight. With the thread of hypnotherapy running through the programme, each week we also focus on one or more of the following tools and techniques to help you crush cravings, build confidence and bring about change.

I am a qualified hypnotherapist practitioner established in the Highlands, serving Inverness and beyond and at present I work entirely online via Zoom. I came to hypnotherapy in 2012 after using self-hypnosis successfully for pain management after I sustained a back injury.

It was taught to me as part of a holistic approach at the local NHS chronic pain clinic and I quickly discovered that everything you need is already within you; it's simply a matter of learning how to access what you need and using the techniques when you have to deal with challenges. My purpose now is simple.
We all know that different people respond differently to situations. Do you wish you could feel more in control of the way you feel or respond more often? It may be that you would like to introduce fresh thinking to your current situation or have more positive feelings to challenges and this is where hypnosis can help.
It's relaxing, it feels good and you probably spend more of your day in hypnosis than you think!. Hypnosis is a completely natural state of mind and the name comes from the Greek word 'hypnos' meaning sleep. Although hypnosis can be deeply relaxing it is not sleep, it's simply a narrowing of concentration or focus.
It's an opportunity to relax, learn how to help yourself and start to make the changes you want. We'll begin by having a chat and at this stage it's your chance to share as much background information regarding the issue as you can, or want to, and where you'll tell me how you want to feel or behave instead.
More useful techniques that can be used on their own or to blend in perfectly with hypnosis. BWRT stands for 'BrainWorking Recursive Therapy', a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

Like many other modern therapies, it allows a 'core of privacy' so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about - in fact, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead.BWRT is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions.
