Marinace black granite makes a stunning wow-factor island feature in this Surrey kitchen. Combined with Zimbabwe black granite worktops, this room exudes luxury and is a pleasant and versatile workspace. Kitchen Worktop Templating Before ordering the slab with the appropriate stone, colour and thickness we must first take all the measurements to the client's kitchen and write them down carefully.
Honed gives the stone a matt finish, and black honed surfaces are often used instead of slate - granite being much more hardwearing. The honing process does make the stone more porous and it is therefore slightly more susceptible to superficial staining than a polished finish. Antiquing the stone involves flame texturing the surface or bush hammering it to produce a textured finish.
Installation of kitchen worktops takes between 2 hours (straight forward jobs) to 6 hours (complicated jobs). 1. Clear access through the property must be ensured as some pieces of stone can be very long and heavy. 3. Temporary worktops, sink etc. (if installed) mast be removed. 5. For tread (staircases) or commercial projects other conditions must be met.
Templating takes 1 hour to 3 hours depending (size, complicated jobs). Please be present or have someone on site that have your AUTHORIZATION to make these decisions on your behalf. Make the templater aware of any changes or technical information regarding colour (type material), design, profile, drainer grooves, sink, tap position, radius corner size, etc.

Christian is superb, the quality of craftsmanship is second to none. He is very knowledgable - when we went to see him to start the ball rolling he identified that due to the size of the island we had specified getting the worktop in one piece would be tricky. He contacted the manufacturer and learnt that they would soon stop shipping the oversized pieces to the UK. We were keen to avoid a join on the worktop, so Christian was happy to secure one of the last pieces that had been shipped to the UK and store it at his workshop for almost a year till we were ready for it.

Christian has been an absolute pleasure to work with on my first flat. He helped me pick out a brilliant work surface which looks great and he was very accommodating around my other building works - coming to install on a Sunday to suit my needs.
Christian is a real craftsman and his work and attention to detail is second to none; he wasn’t happy until it was 100% perfect. He has also been very good about making a special trip to London to fit the upstands because my kitchen wasn’t ready to fit them when he first came.
Overall a great service and wonderful end result- I wouldn’t hesitate

We required a difficult edge detail to our quartz kitchen work tops and island. The detail was crafted beautifully and we were delighted with the final result. The whole service was very efficient and priced competitively.
We would highly recommend CCG.

Christian at CCG Marble and Granite is a true craftsman and passionate about natural stone and giving his clients the attention to detail needed to create your dream kitchen or bathroom. We have just had our kitchen worktops installed using two types of granite that we sourced ourselves with Christian's support and advice. This made quality stone much more affordable as we were able to cut out the middle man, something up can't do with most granite installers. We were working to a very tight deadline as the kitchen installation was not complete until 18 December and we were desperate to have a

CCG made and installed my beautiful granite worktops for my new kitchen about three years ago. Christian has just called in and polished them for me and they are gleaming and looking like new again. There was nothing wrong with them but I remembered that he advised me to have them resealed every so often to keep them maintained. I still love them and they enhance my kitchen to perfection. I would not hesitate to recommend CCG as I have seen a lot of granite worktops but they seem to have a lot of joins and even though I have a large area of granite there is only one join!
