We maintain an efficient service by being well organised and communicating regularly with our customers, providing results within a timely manner. Our laboratory is a UKAS accredited testing laboratory No. 9934. Some of the tests that we perform have been approved to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 ('General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories').

Please note, the following information is for the general government part-subsidised postmortem examination (PME). For information on the Cull Ewe Health Monitoring Postmortem Examinations, then please see the separate section below. Prior to requesting a postmortem (PME) it is important to ensure this is the most appropriate method of investigation in the particular case.
The form should be submitted with the samples. For our postmortem examination service, please speak to one of our vets prior to submitting the carcase so that it can be triaged.
