The partners and staff at J Garrard & Allen are grateful to our clients for their kind understanding at the measures we have had to put in place since the start of this awful pandemic. Following the Government's easing of restrictions we are now, once again, opening our doors and are welcoming clients, old and new, back into the office.
For your safety and that of our staff there are still restrictions in place that we ask everyone to observe. We have a bespoke office that is sanitised after every meeting with bio-mist and safety screens are in place to keep you safe. Of course, all our technology remains in place should you prefer to still have your matter dealt with remotely.

Services
We are known and respected in the district as one of the best firms in our areas of practice. We are vigorous in the defence of your interests. We guarantee an exceptional level of individual and personal attention - clients get access to the combined resources of many legal brains, but have one lawyer and one single point of contact whose responsibility it is to look after their interests.
The firm is proud of its history, longevity, and stability. We have practised in Olney for over 200 years, since our foundation in 1796 - possibly earlier - by John Garrard.
In an era when so many firms are merging, disappearing, or succumbing to the temptation of impersonal production line work carried out by computer operators rather than solicitors, we value immensely, as do our clients, the personal and individual attention which we strive to offer. We value also the long and happy relationships which we have established with many local families and institutions.

We have a strong rural practice and act for a substantial number of farmers, land owners, and landed estates, both individuals and trustees. We can assist with the buying, selling and letting of agricultural land, development uplifts on potential building land, the structuring and protection of farms and estates through partnerships, trusts or otherwise and both short and long term tax planning, especially with regard to Inheritance Tax.
Robert Marchant Commercial and high value Property, Property Development, Landed Estates, Agriculture, Wills, Estate Planning. Some estate agents demand commission from solicitors for recommendations, and pressure their customers to instruct those who pay such commission, rather than those who might be most vigorous in their client's interests. These commissions are often added to the client's bill. We refuse to have anything to do with this immoral practice, and never pay commission to any agent, financial adviser, or anyone else.

Not great, clearly had very little knowledge of my employment law issue and wasn't listening properly as I explained my situation meaning he was in fact giving me incorrect advice as to my rights, then back tracked when I corrected him. Also admitted he had advised someone in a similar situation before but couldn't remember what he'd said... Don't think I'd trust them with any legal case based on those first impressions ..

Sitting across the road, we noted the obscenely green shade of the establishment's door. They might want to look next door, and take some direction from their shade of green. Given the age of the period building with which they reside, their current door appears garish, especially in comparison to their neighbours' wonderfully historic cues.
