Supplying precision machined products in to the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence, Hydraulic, Off Highway and Aerospace industries. Utilising our 45,000 sq foot machining facility to offer full project management on a range of products. With Deep hole drilling and honing up to 10 metres, CNC turning up to 8 metres and 5 axis Mill Turning up to 4 metres.
Mollart-Cox is the UK's largest and most diverse privately owned sub-contract machining facility. We have unparalleled levels of expertise in all aspects of Deep Hole Drilling, Gun Drilling, Honing and large CNC machining with a reputation solidly built on being able to offer complete engineering solutions whatever your needs.
Mollart Cox was incorporated initially as a precision deep hole drilling, boring & gun drilling company. Having progressed our capacity to offer the full machined solution, deep hole drilling and boring is still a huge part of the business.
Not only is it the most accurate method for precision hole drilling of single holes in components it is also the method which offers the tightest tolerances on multiple bore operations leading to multi bore components achieving T.I.R within.002.The maximum length of 10 metres covers all down hole tooling collars used in Oil & Gas exploration.

5-axis machining provides infinite possibilities as to the part sizes and shapes you can effectively process. The term "5-axis" refers to the number of directions in which the cutting tool can move. On a 5-axis turning centre, the cutting tool moves across the X, Y and Z linear axes as well as rotates on the C and B axes to approach the workpiece from any direction.
Below is a small selection of the machines available, these range from 2 axis CNC Lathes up to 7 axis 'Multi Tasking' machines. These machines allow Mollart Cox to further machine components that have been deep hole drilled or gun drilled. We can offer Pre heat treat machined components all the way through to finished machine components.
