Services
Ankerville was established in 1999 with Ankerville Baby Unit following in 2003 and the purpose built Ankerville Alness following in 2007. Carol Macrae, owner and founder has more than 30 years experience working with pre-school children and as a mother herself understands the importance of a happy nursery education.
Ankerville House Nursery was opened in 1999 and is housed in a traditional Georgian house in the centre of Tain. Ankerville House Nursery is open from 8am to 5.30pm and offers after school care to children age 5 - 12. A Key Worker system operates in the nursery where each child is allocated 1 member of staff responsible for both settling in and compiling your child's Learning Journal.
Ankerville House Nursery and Ankerville Alness provide a service of before and after school care for children from 5 years during term time and a holiday club during school holidays. The nursery opens at 8am allowing children to access the resources before they are accompanied to school by a member of staff.
This is the minimum requirement but we always have at least one floating member of staff to cover. Staff may have NNEB or equivalent i.e. HNC or SVQ 3 or are working towards this. Some staff also have PDA in Early Years or a BA Child and Youth Studies or have or are working towards BA Childhood Practice degree through UHI.
We have a great opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This nursery has a lively setting with lots of creativity and has a team who are dedicated to the care of children. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children.
