Galston Dental Practice
Scotland has moved to Level 0 which means we are almost back to normal and many restrictions have been eased. However, as a dental clinic we have specific Government guidelines and protocols to follow, and as a result we are not yet able to operate the way we used to before the pandemic started. Appointments are available but limited, and we continue to provide necessary care to those who have a dental emergency.

Whether you are a new or an existing patient, Galston Dental Practice has a wide range of dental services available. Our professional, reliable dentists can undertake most dental work, from check-ups and tooth cleaning to extractions and prosthetic fitting. We pride ourselves on producing fantastic results for our patients.
Services
We take great pride in our dentistry and make every effort to make your visits a pleasant experience. Our aim is good oral health through preventive dentistry. This means giving you regular dental advice and helping you understand how to care for your teeth and gums. The practice has a long tradition of in house training for both dental surgeons and continual professional development for all staff.
The bridge and false tooth need to be cleaned daily, just like your natural teeth, so that issues such as gum disease do not develop. Special brushing equipment, such as interdental brushes or superfloss, is very useful and you can obtain these from dentist. Yes, there are various types available and all of them use varied fixing methods and materials.
At Galston Dental Practice routine oral health care advice will be given to you to encourage you to keep teeth and gums healthy and attractive. In this way, you can reduce the amount of treatment needed. To ensure you and your teeth receive the best care, you may be advised to visit our hygienist on a regular basis.
At our practice, we would like children to have a positive experience of going to the dentist as this will influence the way they care about their teeth and the way they feel about going to the dentist throughout their life. We offer the best possible dental treatment in a child-friendly atmosphere and aim to make your visit to Galston Dental Practice an exciting and memorable one.
Dental implants are now becoming a more popular treatment to replace missing teeth, as they provide a longer-term solution, slow down bone loss and preserve nearby healthy tooth tissue. What is a dental implant? An implant is a titanium metal fitting that is inserted into your jawbone, acting as a substitute for a tooth root.

Mr McDonald and the team are fantastic. Treatment is always painless and undertaken with a great deal of patience and understanding. I have recommended Mr McDonald to a number of friends and relatives - including those who are nervous about attending the dentist - and all of them hold him in equally high regard.

It would have been 5 stars if it had still been Mr Walker that still owned it but one of the new dentists didn’t explain things properly and she certainly hasn’t got time for people suffering serious illnesses or mental health problems, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Goes to the reception staff they’ve always been outstanding they do a really good job 👍

As someone who is extremely nervous of dentists & they have been so terrible they left me petrified
I was recommended to Galston Dental practice & I wish I had went here years ago, Grant was absolutely brilliant putting me at ease even when I said I might scream lol
This man is a gem & doesn't rush you, takes time to explain things step by step even for a big baby like me

Our family new to the area. My son is in a wheelchair and has major anxiety about any dentist. On his first visit he was made so at ease and Erin was so patient and understanding he came away with a smile and more relaxed than I have ever known
We no longer have sleepless nights before our visit.
Thank you.
