Braedale Roofing have a long and distinguished track record that stretches back over 35 years. Established in 1978 by John O'Mara Snr, it remains a family business today and is run by brothers Stephen and John O'Mara. At Braedale Roofing, we offer far more than just quality workmanship and exceptional service.
BUFR or 'felt roofing' has been an effective method of waterproofing buildings against the elements for over a century. Indeed, you might be surprised to learn that Captain Scott's hut in the Antarctic was roofed using one of IKO's felt membranes back in 1908 and proceeded to last almost 100 years!
Single ply roofing provides and effective, fast-track method of waterproofing both new build and refurbishment projects. As the name suggests, it is applied as a single waterproofing layer and membranes are typically wider that felt roofing, so less time is needed to weld and protect seams. Warm roof systems can also be installed that include a polyethylene or bituminous vapour control layer and high performance thermal insulation.
The popularity of liquid roofing has increased dramatically in recent years and today liquid systems represent one of the fastest growing parts of the market. This is due to the wide variety of benefits that they offer, including seamless, monolithic protection and the ability to waterproof areas with complex detailing quickly and easily.
Rainscreen systems offer two lines of defence for exterior building walls, and typically incorporate an initial air/moisture barrier and a secondary rain proof barrier (i.e. the 'rainscreen'). These systems are extremely popular, particularly on prestigious new build projects, as they provide a completely flat surface and guaranteed long-term protection.
