Never been here before but will definitely use again. He's taken the prisms out my glasses as they were of no use. They were to help with my double vision but they made no difference at all ... I still had it. Also changed me from yearly to 2 yearly eye test ... Unless I have problems in the mean time. Fantastic service

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I walked in with my partner to take a look at some glasses as needed some new ones. As soon as I walked through the door I was pounced on, and the shop assistant would not leave me alone! What I think was the practise owner/ manager (elderly man) was so rude, and hostile. He was watching us like a hawk, even thought he was with another customer and we also had an assistant follow us round the shop!! I asked if they had a certain pair of glasses in, and if I could try them on, and as soon as I’d tried them on the man, put them Back In the box so

What an appalling way to treat customers. It’s a customers (legal) right to ask for a copy of their prescription, it’s also a customers prerogative to take their time in choosing whether and where they wish to purchase their glasses. If you want to be bullied by rude staff and have your child frightened by the owner and his aggressive actions, then this is the place to go. My advice to everyone..... avoid this place like the plague. Don’t be drawn in by the £5 eye test, I would rather pay the normal £20-£25 than go here and be subjected to unbelievable rudeness. We Only went here because

The optician himself was absolutely excellent - could not fault him at all and if it were just him I was rating I would give 5 stars without hesitation, however the rest of my experience was very stressful. After my eye test I was told by the assistant that my prescription was so complicated and specialised that the price of my glasses would be £450+ I explained that this was much too expensive and needed something more sensibly priced and I kindly suggested that it may be worth getting my prescription and shopping around a little, she ignored my request for the prescription and then teamed up

I don't know where the writers of the previous negative comments went but it can't have been The St Sepulchre Gate branch of Vision Value. I have just purchased 2 pairs of spectacles from this shop and the whole experience was excellent through out. The eye test was carried out in a very professional manner with the optician putting me at my ease and double checking all of my judgements to enable a precise prescription. The sales staff were excellent, well mannered polite and friendly. all of them showed great customer care and were even open to negotiation on price. I can thoroughly recommend

I found the customer service at Vision Value to be outstanding. I do not live in Doncaster but was visiting friends and saw a pair of glasses that I liked in the window. As I was only there for the day the optician made time to see me and I had an excellent examination including, for the first time, having a photograph of my eye taken. I chose 2 pairs of glasses, they were both 'designer' and the second set (Prada) I had made into sunglasses. There was no charge for these. The frames were adjusted to fit me there and then and I received my completed glasses to my door within a week of my visit

I was recommended to visit this optician by a friend who'd been very happy with the service and the glasses they purchased. The eye test I had was thorough and professional and included a photograph taken of the back of my eye. The lady who helped me choose glasses was excellent, she explained various offers to me clearly. I eventually chose 2 pairs of designer glasses (one of which was free!) It did take a while as there was a huge choice but the lady helping me was patient and helpful. When I called to pick them up I saw another staff member who made some adjustments so the glasses were comfortable

I went in originally to try on glasses and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, and as I was looking for a place to have an eye test done, they said they were running a £5 eye test that was a comprehensive test that was normally about £30. They were also running two for one pairs of glasses, and I was quoted around £300 pound for a pair of Raybans I was after, depending on the strength of my prescription. I had a look online and rayban frames sell for around the £100 mark. I do understand companies have to charge extra because of overhead, but that was a big difference. When
