Services
Based the West Kirby area of the Wirral, I have been treating patients at my clinic on Banks Road for a number of years. My clients range from local runners to professional athletes. A large number of my clients are not involved in any type of sport but may have simply injured themselves whilst at work or completing everyday tasks such DIY or tending to the garden.
Deep tissue massage treatments use advanced clinical massage techniques including trigger point therapy and myofascial release to treat common pathologies throughout the body. As part of your treatment plan you may also be given some easy to do home exercises and/ or some self massage techniques to enable you to continue to make progress between sessions.
Myofascial release is a gentle, hands-on, bodywork technique that works deeply into the body to ease chronic pain and restore alignment and mobility to muscles and joints. The therapist applies a light, sustained stretch on any areas of the body where tension is felt. The intention is to release any "stuck" areas of fascia which may be responsible for causing pain and restriction throughout the body.
TMJ is mostly known as a condition affecting the jaw. Despite this, many people can be suffering from the condition without actually knowing it. The good news is that appropriately trained massage therapists are in a unique position to help sufferers of this condition get out of pain and restriction quickly and safely.
