I stayed at the Castle Hotel during a trip to Wales and had dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel. The menu was straightforward with traditional Welsh and British offerings at a reasonable price. The interior is warmly decorated and slightly dated which adds to the ambiance.

I ordered a simple burger. But wow - it was amazing! The burger was made with fresh locally-sourced Welsh beef, and you could easily taste the quality. Topped with cheddar and nothing else, the natural flavour of the beef shone through. This is how you make a burger! It paired perfectly with my pint of beer.
