The Watch House is at the heart of the small community of Cadgwith, supplying sweets, drinks and ices to the local children and fishermen, as well as to the holidaymakers who flock to our village in the summer. We also sell gifts, postcards, beach toys, fishing equipment and bait, maps, guides and pictures by local artists.
Cadgwith is well known as a picturesque fishing village and has a thriving local community, with an excellent pub, a seasonal restaurant, a fresh crab shop and two art/craft galleries, as well as The Watch House itself.

Services
During the Summer months our "Duchy" Cornish ice cream is always popular. Served in traditional cones, there are usually at least 8 flavours available, with chocolate flake or clotted cream as extra toppings. There is also a wide range of other ices. All year round we supply all your favourite soft drinks, sweets and chocolates.
Despite its picture-book beauty, Cadgwith is a working Village. This is a main part of its appeal. As always, fishing is an important part of the local economy. Although in these days of ever reducing quotas and restrictions it is increasingly difficult to live by fishing alone. These days the main catch is not pilchards but crab (several tons each week), lobster, mackerel, monkfish, shark and mullet.
