He qualified and was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1993 and also a Member of the Manchester Society of Land Agents & Surveyors in 2011.

In the last few years, the number of Compulsory Purchase Orders has declined due to the economic climate. In addition there have been numerous CPOs that have been dropped due to the lack of funding and lack of confidence in the property market. Some CPOs are still going ahead, for example the CPO by Salford Council, but we are still in cautious times.
