First time here on a recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed, a great experience sat there while the chef cooked in front of you. The staff were very attentive and the chef was very interactive with us all. Great food great atmosphere and very good value for monday we had the set menu and it was cooked to our own individual liking.

Mind-blowingly good, wallet-achingly expensive Japanese food-theatre.
After trawling through reviews for dinner in Leeds we finally stumbled upon Teppanyaki where we could use our taste card to good effect.
Our table was booked for 9, they took our food and drinks orders whilst we waited, our attention distracted briefly from our rumbling stomachs by the koi carp pond.
We had to wait about half an hour until we were seated, but goodness was it worth the wait! The starter of beef sashimi was melt-in-the-mouth tender and served with a tasty dipping sauce, absolutely faultless!
Appetites truly

Teppanyaki by name, Teppanyaki by nature.
I couldn't fault this.
Well actually I could and hence 5 minus 1 star. (would be a 9/10 if the scoring system was different)
Looking for something with a difference on a Friday night out in Leeds and stumbled across this whilst looking at my taste card Friday night options and so a slightly intoxicating visit to the German Christmas market filled the time before our 9pm booking.
An experience more than just dinner. We felt our every need was attended to right from the start.
9.30pm came and went just as we were moved from the bar to our seats.
Ravenous

This place is amazing, food hasn't tasted the same since I've been here! I went for the seafood set meal and it was perfect with juicy prawns and tasty salmon. The staff were brilliant and kept us entertained with their awesome cooking techniques. I also tried a Japanese drink called Sake - it's unusual but nice - try it!

Wow. This place is madness. I came here for an impromptu mini-supper club, and what a night! Firstly, before you get lost, walk around Sandinista and down the steps - it may feel a little odd, but you'll know you're in the right place when you open that door, and walk across the fish pond bridge. (Which is beautiful, might I add.) Cheesy as it sounds, it really feels like you're in Tenchu (a computer game, if you're not a geek) when you walk in - the lighting, the space. It's cool! But I wasn't playing ninja on this evening.

Tried something new last night and was well impressed with our decision.
Again, taking advantage of a 'livingsocial' voucher which always encourages me to try something for a taster and see if I would pay full price- on this occasion, just that happened.
We booked in for 6pm but due to the awful weather I didn't get there until 6.20 but my Mr was having a beer and chilling in the very calming 'bar' area.
The entrance is a bit daunting and the door needs a firm hand to open but then you are transported into a Japanese paradise!
Across the bridge you go, beautiful fish

This place was not what I expected considering the high rating everyone was giving it. They did not have a wide variety of sushi on the menu which surprise me considering it is suppose to be a sushi/japanese restaurant. I was very disappointed. Atmosphere was nice. They need to incorporate a wider variety of sushi/maki/rolls into the menu.

This place is simply fantastic for a special Doo or an occasion, it really is a very special experience.
I have been many times over the past 10 years and always get excited before a visit.
You sit at a strange looking bench type arrangement after having placed your order from the bar area. There are several set menus to choose from and it is worth pushing the boat out. I always go for Sake, which is hot wine. Fabulous and goes straight to the head.
The devoted Chef arrives with his cart, which is full of fabulous quality fresh ingredients as if he had just that second hand selected them from

I love unique dining experiences. Lets face it I love dining but I love it even more when it's just so different to what you get nine times out of ten. So I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I finally get allowed to play out at the Teppanyaki.
Now I do have somewhat of a thing for all things Japanese so this is a true treat for me. Japanese dining and with flavour. The reason it rocks so much is you get your own cook. Seriously. I mean how cool is that?! Grab your guests and all sit around in a traditional venue and on a traditional table with a hostess and cook. No dropped food and quickly

Teppanyaki is more of an experience. But unfortunately for me a bad one. The food was good, though not worth the expensive price tag. The chef prepares it right in front of you which is nice to watch. Sadly the resteraunt was quiet on a Saturday night at 8.30. With only ourselves and another couple in there the chef came out and started cleaning the grills as we were eating our main course (bucket and marigolds, the lot). Then they turned the music off before we left. With the price tag at over £100 for 3 of us, we most definitely won't be going back.

Going to Teppanyaki is mush more than just a meal. Its like a full on show where the main act cooks your dinner.
Its not cheap but it is well worth it. I went with my girlfriend and we went for the meat menu and the seafood menu and shared. You sit at the hot plates while the chefs prepare and serve you the food. It was the first time i tasted lobster and i don't think i've tasted better since. You are there a good few hours and are kept entertained throughout. All in all a great night out.

The best Japanese in Leeds. This is more than just a meal, it is an experience. I would say it is the perfect place for a first date, no arkward silenes here as just too much going on.
The food is so good, and the fact it is cooked infront of you means you know what you are getting and when.
The chefs are amazing, and encourage you to interact and try your hand at scoring a goal with the egg shells. You will understand what that means when you go. The food is so good, and you get as much or little as you like. It is more than some others but you really get what you pay for here. Its a perfect
