R. S. Hill Joiners & Building Contractors began in 1981, with Rod Hill working on his own with a few woodworking machines in a small garage. Over the last 30 years, the company has grown significantly, but is still based in Douglastown, Angus. It now has three directors who each have a great passion for the construction industry and are always at hand to provide our customers with a personal service.
Many of our skilled tradespersons have been with us for over 20 years, a testament to our reputation. As a full-service joiner and building contractor we are proud to offer a full range of trades and services to suit the individual needs of every client. We are also licensed waste carriers, so can deal with site waste ourselves, saving our customers both time and money.

Based in Angus, Scotland, in the heart of the Strathmore Valley. We are committed to providing first class joinery and building services to commercial and residential customers. We offer a wide range of services to our clients and directly employ many skilled tradesmen ourselves. We're experts in all aspects of property development and improvement, including extensions, conservatories, new builds and renovations of all kinds.
R.S. Hill offers a wide range of trades and services to suit the individual needs of our clients. Where we need to sub-contract a trade or specialist skill, we use only reliable, local, qualified tradesmen - many of whom we have worked with for years. For trades that are not undertaken by R.S. Hill employees, we sub-contract out to a select group of reliable local companies, most of which we have worked with for many years.
All of our waste concrete, bricks and rubble is crushed using our state of the art, mobile trackered crusher. During the crushing process fines are separated via a side elevator, valuable metals are separated via an over band magnet, and the crusher is also fitted with a dust suppression system to further reduce environmental impact.
R.S.Hill Joiners and Building Contractors can offer the complete package from inception to the completion. From the initial meeting with the client we can guide them through the design and build process. We work closely with the client and design team to deliver the finished product, on time and on budget.
