Hi, I am Mandy at Personalised Silver, we are a husband and wife team, family run business. At the age of 17 started work as an apprentice hand engraver at a jewellery manufacturer in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
A range of sterling silver bangles and bracelets personalised in our workshop. Solid silver bangles and bracelets, hinged bangles or silver bangles with mother of pearl, we have got one to suit everyone. We have a range of handmade solid silver cuff bangles with hand engraved flower, Celtic knot, holly leaf designs.
A few months ago we designed a beautiful ladies cuff bangle and hand engraved a flower and leaf design around the outside, this was so popular we have handmade another style cuff bangle, this time with a celtic knot design. To start with we cut a length of sterling silver to size, this is then sent off to Birmingham Assay Office to be hallmarked.
It is said that wearing a Saint Christopher Necklace will bring you good luck and fortune when travelling. St Christopher is one of the most popular Catholic Christian Legends, but there is little evidence that he actually existed historically. According to the Roman martyrology he was known as a giant who devoted his life to carrying travellers across the river.
The name Coat of Arms goes back to the 12th century when knights wore helmets which completely concealed their faces, this made them unrecognisable to their friends and enemies. Therefore to overcome this problem they had lions or beasts painted on the knights shields and banners and overtime on their surcoat (a sleeveless garment which went over their armour) which is where the name coat of arms came from.
