Applied Vacuum Engineering is a high vacuum company specialising in all aspects of vacuum requirements from consumables through to bespoke systems. Founded in 1977 by two experienced engineers, we have steadily expanded and now occupy adjoining units on the Thornbury Trading Estate, a few miles to the north of Bristol UK.
The Service repair and refurbishment of vacuum pumps, vacuum plant and vacuum equipment has been and remains at the core of our business. Although we are the main agent and service centre for DVP in the UK, we also offer comprehensive support for industrial vacuum process equipment for all leading manufacturers.
For many years we have refurbished and upgraded existing vacuum plant to the highest standards. The results are a plant which performs in most cases to better than the original new specification and is considerably more "user friendly", at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
An Edwards 24 coating plant in very poor condition which was fully rebuilt, rewired, fitted with a new pumping group and with the latest generation PLC control system and instruments.The cost of this refurbishment was approximately one-third the cost of replacement. Fully refurbished plant will carry a 12 month guarantee according to our terms and conditions of sale.

Outstanding vacuum company that I have been dealing with for more than 15 years. They go above and beyond to find the parts for my vacuum equipment. When my pumps break down I know they will turn them around within a short timeframe and supply a hire pump to keep production going. I look forward to dealing with you in the future.
