Carl, Lauren and their team welcome you and your family to Wrea Head Country Cottages; a complex of nine self-catered holiday cottages situated on the edge of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Our nine holiday cottages have been converted from red brick farm buildings retaining many of the original features, including oak beamed ceilings and pantile roofs.
These have been combined with modern furnishings ensuring your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Our holiday cottages are situated on the outskirts of the charming village of Scalby; ideal for both coast and country breaks. Nestled in the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park, yet only two miles inland from the seaside and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!! Would highly recommend to all. We as a family have just returned from a fantastic week at the cottages. We have had the best time ever. We asked our 5 year old what his best part of the holiday was and he said swimming in the pool, going in the hot tub and playing with George. We stayed in woodland. It was superb, beautiful furnished to a very high standard and had everything you needed . Lauren and Carl went above and beyond with everything. Anything you needed and they would be there, nothing was too much trouble. The personal touches just made it even more extra special

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. We knew the pool could not be open due to covid restrictions but it didn't impact on our stay. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we could need (and more). Very comfortable beds ensured a great night's sleep. The play area for kids was fab and our little dog loved running around the grounds. Carl and Lauren made us feel very welcome and they even left a surprise birthday balloon for our daughter, which was a lovely touch. The setting was idyllic and we will most definitely be back.

Would absolutely recommend these cottages.
We stopped here last weekend for a family members 60th and had a fantastic time.
Each cottage is superbly put together, well maintained, clean and nicely decorated throughout.
Will absolutely be coming back for another occasion. If you're looking for a nice self catering getaway this is the place for you. 10/10!
Big thank you to the owners who also got us a 60th balloon. Really nice touch. Was appreciated!

Absolutely lovely location for a family holiday. We went as a family of 13 over 2 cottages for a week in summer holidays. Luscious hot tub, perfect play house with bedding and kitchen items for little ones to enjoy. Room for a kick about on the field, stunning sea views from all over the site. Well equipped kitchens, thoughtful touches like dishwasher tabs and bin bags provided. Knives needed sharpening and frying pan need replacing but I've found that everywhere we have stayed honestly; down to overuse.
The owners were friendly, pretty relaxed and work hard to keep the site safe and clean for
